Kana Leaf is an Indigenous-owned, family-operated licensed cannabis retailer. We opened our first doors in North Bay in 2019 and now welcome guests at three stores — Ottawa, North Bay, and Jocko Point.

Our beginning
It started on Nipissing First Nation land
Kana Leaf opened its first doors in 2019 as an Aboriginal and veteran-owned dispensary — the first legal store of its kind to operate on Nipissing First Nation land. What began as one small room with a handful of jars grew into three stores serving thousands of neighbours across Northern and Eastern Ontario.
That origin still shapes how we work: slowly, carefully, and with the people around us in mind. Every decision passes a simple test — does this serve the community that trusted us first?

Guidance, never a sales pitch
Cannabis is personal. Two people can walk in wanting the same thing and leave with completely different products — and that's exactly how it should be. Our team is trained to ask before they recommend, and to explain the why behind every suggestion.
Whether it's your first legal purchase or your five-hundredth, you'll get an honest conversation about potency, format, onset time and cost. No upsell, no jargon, no judgment.

At Kana Leaf Cannabis, we source products from licensed, legal, and inspected producers, including quality craft growers. We listen to customer feedback and reviews to help bring you products you can trust.
Our growers
Small batches, patient people
Most of our shelf is Ontario-grown by producers small enough that we know the people running the rooms. They hang-dry, they cure slowly, and they'd rather run out than rush a harvest.
Supporting them keeps money in the province, keeps craft cultivation viable, and — not incidentally — puts far better flower in your hands.
